my dvd rom is detected in bios mode but not detected in windows mode?

i got this lenovo g450. i installed windows 7 on it with the help of dvd ie to say that my computer is reading dvd"s in bios mode but on startup of windows , in the my computer the dvd rom do not respond.when i checked in the device manager it says thad device not connected .i am not able to understand what to do
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
