my env2 tells me when i get a txt msg who its from out loud!! how do i stop it?

a long time ago i set my lg env2 that when i get a txt it says OUT LOUD who its from!! i have tried everything to try to stop it from saying my friends names!! ive looked in the manual, looked at settings on the messaging block, settings and tools, everything!! please help me to turn the stupid voice off!!! anything help is appreciated!! thanx!!
 
flip open your phone highlight messaging or open messaging, then click the top left button, this opens settings, then go to TXT Auto Play, and select off. your done. it will no longer read out your messages, but it stops it from saying out loud who sent you the text. I own the voyager, but the interface is the same on my brothers ENV & my neices' lg dare. sarah vic is close but not quite right.
