so over the past year i have had some doubts whether i should continue following my current religion, move on to another one or follow my faith on my own .. i have a lot of faith and GOD and will continue to but it seems like every religion i seek has so many flaws and how do i know which religion is the right when they all preach salvation

why would you doubt an infinite magic man created the universe for us over a 7 day period without any evidence?

oh.... thats why

Either one religion is right or they are all wrong. What are the chances that the religion you were born with is the right one?

"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
Luke 11:9-10

If you don't mind, I'll pray for you in your quest for finding the church/religion God wants you to belong to.

Look to yourself for answers, God doesnt like to answer difficult questions

Morons she has faith, she's questioning organized religion. The bible was written by man --I hear you christians screaming "but it IS the words of GOD!!!" WHATEVER!!! It might be the words of God but they have been edited several times by man and butchered by translation. Do you really think God said "Hey King James, I know I'm all knowing and powerful but I didn't mean to talk about the book of Enoch or for Judas' chapters to be added. So why don't you edit the book to your liking because apparently I'm inept."

Believe in God. Let him lead you, not the bible.

My advice to you is explore your beliefs on God and the world. If you can find a religion that fits then by all means join it though personally I think all you need is faith and to be a good person.

Find one you can follow completely, I have in the Catholic Church, they have laws and things to do and deviations, and prayers that I can't even keep up with, its awesome

It may sound dumb but I think that if you are following religion for salvation, then you are doing it for the wrong thing. You should faithfully follow something because you believe in it not because you’re scare of it. I don’t think we have the “perfect religion” but as long as your faith in god is strong then keep religion and god separate.

Read more the New Testament and Church Elders Life and Instructions, Bible interpretations. Your mind should be like swimming in scriptures, then you will see the truth without any mistakes. I'm catholic, but I'm reading about orthodox with gladness too. It inspires me a lot and makes my faith stronger. Church is strong by its Saints, I think. Pray and may God lead you by His Word.

You don't need a religion in life. I'm not saying be an atheist or anything but you seem to be thinking that a religion is a necessity. Just do what makes you happy in life, as long as it doesn't hurt others. Whatever makes you happy could lead to a religion though, so follow your happiness.

I've been raised a Catholic all my life and the last year I've been questioning God. Why do all these bad things happen to people who have lived pure lives? There is the always popular "God has a reason for everything." answer but what is the reason for many tragedies. Like Virginia Tech. What reason was that for? People might say "It brought the college together and made it stronger" or whatever but I bet the families of the victims don't care about that. If they're religious, what do they think the reason was for it? What was God's reason for killing their families? Yeah, they probably have no idea either.

I still believe in God and I want to believe in Heaven or Hell because I'd rather not die and be stuck in a eternal black abyss of nothing. But I am going to live my life, in a way that makes me happy. Follow your own faith. Choose what makes you happy.

i was in your boat a while ago. i decided to go my own way. this does not man never going to church it just mean not going to any particular one. they all preach salvation because they are ALL salvation.
do what you know in your heart is right, how you know it is right to do it. be active in your faith pray read pray. confess if you feel the need, weather in prayer or to a priest. iv been catholic and iv never herd of a priest telling some one, on im sorry i cant confess you you are not catholic

When a Muslim declares that Islam is a religion of peace, he/she is either ignorant of the Quran, or is deceitfully thinking of this “peace”, as it extends only to those within the Muslim Community. The deceit is that they will not tell you exactly what they mean. According to the Quran: “Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah. Those who follow him are merciful to one another, but ruthless to unbelievers” Surah 9:5. Also see Surah 9:29 “Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture (Christians & Jews) as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah has forbidden by his messenger, and follow not the religion of truth…”

Please note that there is not a single verse in the entire Christian Bible that contains this “open-ended”, universal command to kill/or be ruthless to unbelievers. Surah 47:4 say: “When you meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks…”
Then there is this. Muhammad produced this one to prompt those Muslims who knew in their hearts that killing innocent people is wrong: “Fighting is obligatory for you, as much as you dislike it.” Surah 2:216.

Islam, teaches that Jews and Christians both have earned the wrath of Allah by failing to follow Islam, and that they have also lost the way buy following the teachings of the Torah for the Jews, or the Bible for Christians. Additionally, this god Allah lies about Jesus. Islam says that Jesus not only is not the Son of God, but that He did not even die on a cross in Jerusalem… Allah is therefore proven to be a false pagan god… Jews also do not believe this about Jesus (Yeshua). Who will believe it? The greatest of kings. Born in the humblest of places…
God, born in the flesh! The Apostle Paul tells us that Jews have been supernaturally blinded to this by God. Yet Christians and Jews worship the same God (Yahweh) and share the Same Bible.

About 578 years before Islam came along, Christians were warned against Islam by both Jesus and the Apostle Paul. Jesus waned us about the many false prophets who would follow Hem (Matt 16:11-12f). Paul warned us when he wrote: “But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a Gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell!” Gal 1:8).

Since Islam’s message differs fundamentally from the Gospel, it is clear what Paul taught regarding the fate of Muhammad and those who propagate Islam. Islam bypasses the sacrificial mediating work Jesus did for believers on the cross, thus negating the forgiveness of sins. This condemns non-believers to die in their sins. Jesus said; “ I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins.” John 8:24

Jesus also predicted the current dilemma of Muslim intolerance and fanaticism He warned that the day was likewise coming when religious zealots will kill Christians and think they are offering a service to God (John 16:2-4)

If Islam has no answer nor Mormonism or Watchtower the only logical explanation would be to except Jesus and be totally dedicated to him - 100% not 99.9%

If your questioning your faith it then obviously it isnt as strong as you thought.
