i wouldn't recommend putting it in the sun like someone else had said.
hook it up to itunes and first try syncing it. or hold the top button to turn it off. hopefully that works.

...can I do to fix it? I tried holding the main on/off button on the top in to try to shut it off, but nothing works, just stays on. Do I need to open it up to take the battery out to try to reset it that way? Don't even know how to do that.

Keep it in the sun for an hour or two,
duly removing the battery pack.
Then put back the battery and
switch on......it should work now.
