...them to stop?"? I have 6 small children and they are always running around the house screaming. I see lots of families on TV that don't sem to have the same problem. What am I doing wrong? My boyfriend is no help. Is there any government aide to help with this?
 
It is called active parenting. At this stage, you have to be involved every minute of every waking hour - there is no slacking off or me time. It will all be about them for the next ten years. Government aid? Are you talking about financial aid or physical assistance? I don't know where you live, but you might want to call the United Way and relay your need.

Edit: Do not hit your children - I mean it. That is an outdated and dangerous form of discipline. Firm and consistent time-outs are quite effectual.
 
Stop supplying them with sugar.
Not only is it in candy, but pretty much every day foods and condiments.

Punish them for bad behavior.

Go to parenting classes.

Get your tubes tied so you won't have any more screaming ankle biters.
 
One warning first and if that does not work then a good smack on their legs and mean it Repeat if necessary. Problem solved.
 
what? a government agency to help you parent? it takes you paying enough attention to put them in check every time. not every other time. every time. if you did not start that when they were young you can probably go ahead and get a headstart by calling the juvenile authorities.
