My Logik L2HDVD11 DVD player wont play DivX?

I have a Logik L2HDVD11 DVD player. I got it from ebay and it was advertised as having DivX playback capabilities. I've searched the internet and everything I see suggests that this player can play DivX movies from disc (not from USB)
The seller is happy to refund me but I'd like to keep the unit as it's very smart looking and fits in just nicely under my TV.

Can anyone tell me why this unit wont play DivX movies?? Thank you :) x

i disagree with the guy above as i have owned one of these for about 6 months and its been really good and it looks good too ive never tried playing divx things as we only bought it for dvd films. we didnt expect much from it because it was a cheap dvd player
