my family is atheist. I however have read the bible, studied churches, and found the church that best suits me, and accepts me and my beliefs, the Catholic Church.
My mom, when i told her that i found religion, (i had been keeping it a secret) flipped. she said i could get baptized, but not in the catholic church, she said christians were bad, and the Church was the worst. She says i can get baptized where she wants me to get baptized, and she wont let me do what i want. I have been respectful, and nice, as one of the commandments is to honor your mother and father, but the first and most important is to love god. i dont know what to do as i am 17 and cant get baptized on my own. she also says i cant get confirmed.
