My Phillips HTS3410D DVD Home Theater System won't play?

I plug it in and the standby light came on like normal, but when I tried to turn the power on, the standby light went off and nothing happened. When I press the power button again the standby light comes back on. I have tried unplugging it, letting it sit and then plugging it back in again a few hours later, and it sill won't power on. It does make a low buzzing noise all the time, nothing loud. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
 
Those bargain price home theater in box are not very reliable, when one item fails the whole system has to be replaced. I recommend you email or call the manufacturer and see what they say. How long have you had the system, if less than a year then you are covered by the factory warranty. If you don't have a warranty ask for a cost estimate of repair. It might not be cost effective in repairing than just buying a new system due to the cost of labor. Hope this will help you out.
