My last question I think was a bit misunderstood. And people were being quite rude. What should I do? I know this sounds stupid, but I'm a girl and I don't know how to clean it and neither does my mother....what should I do??? I hope it isn't broken!!!!
I forgot to mention that it was a PLAYSTATION 2. I was watching a movie with a lot of scratches last night.. could that be why? Or even the game that I was testing with it had scratches? I don't know... but one thing I do know is I accidentally left my Playstation 2 on and opened it and the Grinch was in there and I took it out and tried to turn it off and the red button was blinking and then I unplugged the two cords, the one with the yellow on the tip and the rectangular one and then plugged them back in then turned the PS2 on and it still made noise with the game I tested it with. What should I do?!

1. remove disk
2. turn off
3. disconnect all plugs
4. place on a table and waif for it to cool
5. once cool, vacuum all visible openings, do not open anything that requires a screw driver, use a brush head and suck out any lint.
6. place HORIZONTALLY next to tv or where you play it.
7. power plugs only, turn on, if there is no noise, go to step 8, if there is noise, call Sony for assistance, as your system is broken and consult your warranty.
8. turn off
9. return all plugs
10. power on, examine menus. insure it is functioning regularly.
11. if everything is functioning regularly put a disk in (cd or cheaper dvd so if it breaks its not a expensive game.)
12. if noise persists your tray is broken or dislodged. consult your warranty. if this is the issue. the system can be fixed.

if at any time you saw a single blinking yellow light, your console has suffered a harwear failure, consult your warranty. its broken.
