OK can u solve this riddle?? Good luck!!

My little sister went to gym class. She opened her locker and she put on her gym shorts. Then, she took off her digital wrist-watch and put it inside her locker. It was cold and rainy outside, so gym-class met inside one corner of the gym.

In the gym, my sister's class played volleyball. Her team won two-out-of-three games.

Then, my sister ran back to her locker, and changed clothes and put on her digital wrist-watch and ran to the exit door. She waited until the bell rang. Then, she looked at her watch, and it said noon!! She thought, "What??? It doesn't seem like noon, and my watch has been working fine!!. And I'm supposed to have Math after Gym. But my watch says noon!!"

The school always has lunch at noon. My sister's watch said noon, so she went to the lunch cafeteria. The cafeteria was empty, with no one at the counter.

Then she said, "Oh my God! Now I know what happened!" My sister ran as fast as she could, to the Math classroom door.

RIDDLE: Why was the lunch counter not open for business when my sister's watch said noon?

Good luck !
HINT HINT HINT: It is a **digital** wrist-watch. It displays only digital numbers. If she looks at it one way, it might say "12:00." but if she looks. . . .
