my sony blue ray player is not excepting blue ray movies does anyone know how...

...i can fix this? in settings it? is set at BD not dvd, i rented a movie from redbox that wouldnt play and i think it did something to my box. any ideas? I thank you
yes it is updated.
 
Ok first of all it's Accepting, Secondly Have you tried updating your firmware? Some movies especially if it is a newer movie may require your player to be updated. If your player connected to the internet you may be able to do it from the player. Otherwise you can go to the website for manufacture of the player and download it.
