to Oprah's website and? I watched the videos on her no phone zone promise. It showed a man who had called to check on his son after school and WHILE THEY were chatting the phone went dead and he hit a tree and was killed instantly. Then it showed a kid who was texting and killed two people etc. Tales of so many losses. I couldnt live with myself if I was on my phone and had an accident and injured someone. I jsut wish she wouldnt take chances. her excuse is that she is in control. But it only takes 1 time to change lives forever. How do I get her to stop. She just thinks Im overreacting. She watched the oprah show too.

You should tell her that if she's going to continue doing this then u refuse to ride in the car with her if she's driving, that she can't drive your kids around(if you have kids), or something of the sort

I think you are over reacting too. Anyone can get distracted in a car, talking to passengers or telling kids to stop fighting in the back seat (although we should try to ban kids fighting in the back seat lol). I think its a driver who isn't paying attention who gets killed, and I don't think we should legislate paying attention while driving. I agree with no texting laws, but cells phones have been my God send while taking long road trips. Oprah doesn't have to worry about talking on a phone, while driving, because she's sitting in the back of a limo, on her phone!

there is a logic in your concern. warn her of its dire consequences that u may face. it is illegal to talk on on phone while driving. hope wisdom prevails.

sit her down and say look i feel very strongly about this if i did not i would not waste your time our mine .you know as well as i know its hard to keep a eye on everything .in one spilt sec a ball could roll out in front of a car bang u have less then a sec to respond .in most states if u get caught for being on a phone u pay a fine .i myself HATE being behind someone that is on the phone thinking o yea i can drive normal

You may not be able to stop the overall action, but a headset (bluetooth preferrable so there are no wires to get tangled and in the way) will make talking and driving much safer.

First compramise, get her a blueooth head set.
If she already has one break it :)
