My Super Nintendo Entertainment System always leaves me with a black screen!?

I have an old SNES, and when I turn it on the small light turns red (signaling that its on), but the tv (analog) doesn't recieve a picture. The last time I tried this was a while back, and now I forgot where to plug the RF into, I haven't played it in that long. what should I do????? Please help, i love it sooo much!
