Recently I've been experiencing pain whenever I swallow food or drink something.
Monday morning...at like 5 am I threw up for whatever reason. I had been feeling sick the past couple of days before that but I was actually feeling better until that point.
The next day I had some soup, for lunch, which was hot, but not hot enough to make me spit it out because it was so warm. Anyways that night before I went to bed around 10 or 11 I was drinking water and started to feel this sharp pain every time i swallowed. I thought it was nothing so I just went to sleep. The pain seems to be right below my heart in the middle of the chest in my esophagus.
Today when I was eating or drinking again, every meal of the day, the pain was there. So I'm wondering what is this? Is it just that when I threw up the acid burned some of my esophagus or maybe the soup was hotter than I realized and was enough to damage it, or could it be something worse?
I mean while its bothersome, it isn't enough to make me say oh I can't eat or drink it hurts to much, its just a sharp pain. So should I be worried? I plan on waiting and seeing if the pain goes away by Thursday, and if not then I'm going to the doctors that day to get it checked out.
In the mean time any ideas as to what it could be?
Thanks
