My Verizon wireless cell phone used to work in Mexico but now it just says NO

SERVICE and will not connect!? I have the Mexico plan and have never had problem connecting but on this occasion, my phone just displays "No service" and I cannot connect or make calls. I went to the settings and manually searched for the carriers and it does identify the 3 carriers and even though I connect it manually, it still does not have service. Any suggestion?
