I got a used D-Link router from a friend which I know works. I have all of the paperwork to install and followed all instructions to the letter. However, after I have hooked it up and configured the wireless router I cannot get internet to my desktop computer. I connected the wireless router to my ATT dsl modem and then connected the ethernet cable from the computer into port 1 on the router just like it says in the instructions. My guess is there is some setting in the DSL modem or in the ATT dsl software that is stopping the internet from going from the ATT dsl modem to the wireless router which then would pass it to my desktop computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When you log into your router you have to setup your internet connection on the router to use PoPPPe since you are using DSL. You will have to enter the info that was given to you by your internet service provider.
