I've been a T-Mobile costumer for 9 years now and have recently upgraded to a family plan with them. I have never had to pay a deposit for my phones mind you I do have bad credit. My husband just got his orders that will be stationing him in Alaska for 3 years. Now I know that with a copy of his orders we can cancel our T Mobile agreement without a termination fee but the problem we ran into is this: I have bad credit and he has no credit. The only providers I could find in Alaska that get good coverage all over the states was ATT, but they are asking for a 750$ deposit from me, or a 450$ deposit from him. Now if we could keep t-mobile while he was stationed in Alaska I would be thrilled, and wouldn't have to worry about this, but be it that the only provider I have found that has good coverage where he will be is ATT do we have no option but to pay a ridiculous deposit to have phones while he is in Alaska?
Anyone know of any other options? I would greatly appricate any input. Please no credit punts, I know I need to get my credit back up and we are working on this as we speak (since newly getting married, and am about to graduate college). If you have any advice on other providers I could look into, or any way to work with ATT please let me know.
