Need to purchase a blue ray player and I am not knowledgable at all?

I am buying my dad a blue ray player for Christmas and I know nothing about them, what do I need to look for and which brand is the best for the money?

It generally runs anywhere from $130-$160. They aren't too expensive, and they are definitely worth the money. Mine has excellent quality and it has never let me down. It's easy to use and very simple to set up. If I had to give you my opinion I'd set you up with this one without hesitation. Best of luck! Happy Holidays!
