NETGEAR Internet Router Question?

In my computer room downstairs my parents have a desktop computer with a cable modem and NETGEAR router for a laptop that I have in my bedroom at the end of the hall. My sister bought a desktop computer and wants to be able to use my wireless router upstairs. Will her computer be able to get the signal on her computer upstairs? If not, what could be done?

It should be able to. You need a PCI WIRELESS CARD (ADAPTER). If it doesnt get good signal you can buy RANGE EXTENDERS as well.

It really depends on the distance and how thick the walls are. Anyway, I've been able to get a signal from the 2nd floor, with the router in the basement.
