New School, Friends, and Rumors Help!!?

So this year i'm going to be a freshman and get to start high school. In my town there are two high schools, One on each side. Each one has there own middle school so you end up with the same people for seven years. But it is kind or an everybody knows everybody thing. Last year me and my wildly popular best friend had a falling out and now she hates me and has spread numerous lies around. Because of my terrible rep, I am transferring schools so hopefully i won't live out high school stuck at home. Sadly I have learned that the new school I'm transferring has already heard most of those lies. Girls there that I know nothing about, more then there names, were asking me why I hated them and why i was talking behind there backs (Just so you know I didn't). I don't know what to. When school comes i really want to be able to make friends but i don't know how to get rid of the rumors. I don't want to come off as a backstabbing B*tch. Please help. Also i'm very shy so this kind of thing is hard.

Oh and please no "Just be yourself" stuff I would like some real advise
 
Baby girl, come out of your shell. You get yourself on a sports team, and those girls will have your back. If your not guilty don't go too far out of your way to defend yourself. Find people who have similar hobbies or interests. Its not fun to start out on the wrong foot, but if someone thinks you hate them you should tell them you dont hate them, you don't know anything about them, but you'd like to! Try to turn a bad situation into something potentially good.
 
true friends won't follow the drama. Just ignore them and find a group that accepts you for who you are. Highschool is rough; but you'll get through it.
 
Damn to much drama lol jk well there's nothing much to say you don't want to be told be yourself but you can't be something that you not so I have to say it just be your self you can't change who you are and just know where ever you go there will always be drama and rumores especially for female but people eventually forget about everything just ignore them if they try to emberase you or something and for making new friends just be talkative be friends with one person then be friends with that one persons friends and so on and so on well
