i would,nt run headers if i were you. if it was me i would run the pipes straight off the manifolds with 2 cat.converters and 2 intermediate pipes then you can be the judge to how loud you want the mufflers to be and go over the rear end back to the bumper with chrome tips.
 
I'm looking to find a good True Dual Exhaust system for my GMC i just picked up. But i don't know much about Exhaust System and what not. Can anyone care to help me figure this out? I was looking @ MagnaFlow, Dynomax & Flowmaster. But than someone i know mentioned Headers? I'm just so lost :( i just wanna make my Truck look cool with Dual Exhaust, gain some HP (if possible, dont care) and have a nice loud sound.
 
order the ssautochrome y pipe and run 2.5 inch pipe through a 2.5inch cherrybomb glasspack or muffler of your choosing and then put a turndown before the axle. sounds great is cheap and you get a nice lil boost in the 1/4.
