Nokia N95 - No tone or vibrate when message received despite Ring tone working.?

I have a Nokia N95 and recently it has started playing up. Lately, whenever I receive a text message, my phone doesn't alert me. The only way I can find out is if i go into Text Messages Inbox and look there. It has only started recently and when I receive a call it works fine, ringing and or vibrating. Help?
