It’s 3:40am where I live but I’m not wondering if it’s normal to be on Y!A at this time of night.
My gym is not a 24hr one. But sometimes, like right now, I wish I could go there for a swim. But then I would pity the teenager lifeguards on duty at 3am.
When I was in Paris, my brother lived across the street from the only grocery store opened 24/7 (and you can alcohol in grocery stores in France). People would come from the suburb to shop there at 2 am. Sometimes, my brother and I would cross the street and go shopping just to see the very interesting night customers.
Then I moved to the US, and I had a 24/7 grocery store 5 minutes from my home. It’s such a relief never to have to think about restricting opening hours when you need something.
In the US, people have very flexible hours and businesses accommodate their schedule. You could be an ER doctor working out before his shift.
Nobody would think that you have issues or something. Plus if you encounter somebody, wouldn’t they be there too?
