it is a manual 2.2 liter inline 4. front wheel drive. ok so sometimes when i try and accellerate it feels kind of like it is getting held back or something. like it will just kind of chug or bogg out for like 5 seconds then kick and pull away. and no i am not shifting up into the next gear early... i know when to shift and it feels different than that. it isnt like rumbly like when you shift too soon. it just kinda holds its rpms for a couple seconds (like 5-10) and then suddenly it kicks and goes... could it be the injectors? or are the spark plugs bad?
oh and it is cold where i live... like 20-30 degrees. could that have anything to do with it? thanx
or maybe the catalytic converter causing too much back pressure? i just read that from another question on here but it had a couple different symptoms... im just guessing though. also my car does have a flex pipe (a mesh type tube after the headers, but before the cat) and when i bought the car they had mentioned they had to replace the flex pipe. when i looked at it it looked slightly smaller than the stock size... could that cause it?
