Socialist Nazi Communist Pig...lol!? now how in the hell do all y'all folks out there feel now that the brain washing speech is over...lol! do you actually think that millions of grade school kids in America will actually remember or care about what the guy had to say. less than an hour after the speech all those kids went back to what was more important to them......Texting, My Space, and Twitter....lol! you guy's really need to get a purpose in life
Jeanie B..lol! very good. nice sense of humor

If they did not listen then why were all the republicans so up in arms about it.
I have a story for you.
I know a teacher. She told me a story of a little girl who is in her class since kindergarten.
This child had the same name as one of the Obama examples. At the end of the speech she was crying. When my friend asked her what the problem was she said that that person had the same story as her and the whole 2nd grade class spent time talking about how the speech helped them with bullying and learning and their place in school.
It may not have effected a lot, but some will benefit greatly and it was a great message to send, regardless of your question which was very cinical and depressive.
Good luck with that.

I've said it numerous times. I really don't think anyone was worried that WHAT he was saying was bad. I think people were simply concerned about the fact that he was talking to the children period. Most of the people with this concern didn't like it when Bush did it either. Just a belief that politicians should stay out of schools. A lot of parents don't like certain assemblies or public speakers showing up either. I think it's an old fashioned view of parenting should be left to the parents and academics should be the focus in schools.

Unfortunately a lot of parents just do not take that time anymore to communicate with their children about these things, which has left us with a government that feels they need to help you raise your children... it sucks.

a socialist?
a Nazi?
a Commie Pig?
what, you mean your kid didn't turn into a Muslim, turned convenient Christian, out of the closet Muslim again too !?!?!?!?!

I know that some kids watched the President and actually heard what he said. Republicans,in their effort to promote their silly scare tactics, actually made everyone more interested in watching. Now, those who shielded their kids from seeing it have caused them to miss out on an important part of history. But that's okay...they probably wouldn't have understood anyway!

Last time I looked, MY children went to school, studied hard, got good grades, graduated from HS and College because I acted like their parent and made sure they succeeded. Children need parents, not some nanny state government telling them what to do. BTW, I can find much better mentors for my children than a race baiting, socialist, affirmative action president whose resume would fit on a postage stamp. No thanks, you can have him, my children are doing great without him telling them how often to wash their hands. ROFLMAO Complete waste of a mornings studies.

The sad thing is that the most unAmerican thing you can do is support the president. According to the Right.

Just sad.

I don't feel brainwashed at all. You could have asked your kid's school to not show the speech. You could also have not had your kid attend school that day if it meant that much to you. Also, you could have just had your kid go to school and skip the speech. But then you would have alienated your own child wich is what the GOP has done to America hence them losing the election to a "socialist" that America voted or.
