we are across the country in Florida on vacation and my daughter feels sick.
the plan was to be here for another 3 days before we leave and i don't know if its something she ate, or if shes getting actually sick with something.

we didn't go out all day because shes had this belly ache sense this morning. it seems to be about 2 inches above her belly button all the way down from there. so i guess mid belly to lower belly. what can i do for her? should we get ready to leave or wait it out?

does she a have a fever or something or is it just the ache?
Sometimes if it was a cold night and she didnt have a cover on her, she could get a tummy ache. But if she throws up or feels seriously sick, I think it would be better to leave, since you wont be able to enjoy it anyway if she is still feeling awful.

This happened to me as well, in Hawaii. Basically it feels like something is pushing you inside your tummy, or that you have to pass a large amount of gas and it's stuck in side you. In my case, I had a parasite, and was 2 days in to our 9 day long vacation. What my Dr. had me do was eat lots and lots of yogurt, and drink lots of water. The yogurt's active cultures replace the bad bacteria with the good, and the water will (try) to flush out any bad toxins when drank in large amounts.

Give the poor girl a hug from a stranger, and I hope she feels better so you guys can enjoy your trip! :)

You can still take her out to the beach and have a little fun, unless of course, she's using the bathroom alot. She could have food poisoning, or just have a stomach bug. I would suggest filling her up with Saltine Crackers. The crackers will absorb any bad fluids or food that is bugging her. Also ginger ale will make her feel better. If that doesn't work, you can also try mints- they are proven to settle your stomach. Also buy some chewable rolaids. They taste good, and really help!

Hope this helps!

If she got bitten by a mosquito lately, I'd find a doctor immediately! If not, see if it progresses and pepto-bismol should do the trick

If it hurts particulary on the right side she might have appendicitis but I'm not a doctor so I don't know or she may just have food poisioning or something. Anyways, it's best if you just go home. If your daughter is sick it won't be much of a vacation anyways.
