On Xbox Live Why Do People Put Gamertags that have v2 on them?

I've noticed when ppl make gamertags they'll make gamertags with v2 on it what does that mean?
 
What the other guy said, it is like version 2, usually the first account got banned or they are a scrub and get a new gamertag every month for free
