...anyway I can withdraw my offer? I made a slip up and put my top bid at £99.00p when it should have only been £o-99p. Am i now liable to pay the top amount,or can I change it??

you're liable to pay the top amt if the bidding actually goes that high. If you actually win the item, you are obligated to pay the price that the bidding reached when the auction closed, up to and including the top amt you bid.

however, there is a way you can retract your bid, but you need to look at ebay's site map and read their policy regarding this. I think it's only for reasons of a mistaken bid entry, such as you described, and then you have to immediately enter the correct amount you meant to put in when you first bid. you're not supposed to retract your bid without re-entering the correct amount.

you can retract bids yes, it tells you here in there help pages..
