pc doesn't recognize dvd drive and wont burn or play dvd in ms media

player, it's like I have two CD drives? windows XP, TEAC DVD+RW DV-W58E listed in device manager, my computer shows it to be a CD drive
 
MICROSOFT has an excellent program called FIX IT.
Do a Yahoo/Google websearch for it or either follow the
