People on cruise in a book go missing, where did they go? TEN POINTS?

I have to write a story in school and i came up with that much so far. Their has to be a resolution and their cant be a cliff hanger. I dontwant it to be something like they were just staying in their room for a really long time or something boring, like it can have a twist or something interesting. plz and thankyou , ten points, and sorry im drawling a blank :D thanks!
 
They see angels and god, or allah, takes them all.
Or they plumment to their death in order to preserve a curse.
Maybe even, many passing ships see them and [try] to help but suspencefully, they are murders or assassins.
One last idea, helicopters fly them off to safety and you can tell how everyone turned out. i think its called a prologue (not 2 sure, look it up)
 
Maybe a passenger pushes both overboard and they die. A few people realize this when the people wash up on shore and their dead.
