...Republican Congress & POTUS were to? pass a special tax that targeted your favorite political organization? Would you jump up and down and declare that unconstitutional?
I opposed the bailout but that is done - Congress didn't do its homework before they passed the bill.

I wonder if the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bonuses will be taxed- probably not since they are liberal shills.

Why should I react?

Lawmakers have been against me since birth. Why should the future lawmakers be any different?

...

Not if my favorite political organization begged for bail-out money in front of the Congress and then used the money to pay bonuses to executives.

now the congress can tax anyone they don't like into poverty.....this can't be right.

It's a complicated issue, the tax money should not have been spent on bonuses, but that train done left the station. this is a retroactive tax increase, targeted on specific citizens to try and save face for obama and the democrats (and don't you know some weak-kneed repubs also voted for this nonsense, disgraceful)

Washington needs an good coffee enema.

If they were getting a taxpayer bailout, I wouldn't care in the least.

it is a loan...government just calls it a bail out so you will get mad and complain....when will you learn"?......would you be up in arms if they called it a loan?..of course not , but it is ......just a loan......wake up...government is just trying to get you mad to retaliate against your own standard of capitalism so you will be subject to agreeing with the new plan to be under a dictatorship.

I am far more concerned about congress' violation of the constitution by creating this special tax than the measly amount of money involved. Especially since the new tax law was created to cover congresses collective asses.

This one needs to have partisanship pushed aside. Upholding the constitution needs to be priority one. It's frightening the precedent set with this one, kids.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bonuses can't be taxed because Barney Frank have a lover there.
This is goverment move to distract people from the sh*^%T they are involved with the FED in AIG money laundry machine.
This bill is one of the biggest pieces of crap ever written by lawyers in congress, it is like taxing a sales person on the bonuses they received just because the buyers defaulted on their payments. Total nonsense, but these are the kind of brainless people running the game, that can't even find a good way to hide the corruption they are involved in.

I'm an independent Trucker and a smoker. The price of a carton of cigarettes just went up an additional $7.00 in excise taxes, and my fuel prices and road and highway use taxes are high enough that between smokes and gears, I feel like he already has imposed special taxes targeting me, or at least the things that pertain to me.
