studying psychology as a science? discuss the main areas to be considered when studying psychology as a science?

i am so confused on what to do with this question. This is my first assignment in my psychology course I started recently and I really don't know what to do at all. This goes for 30% of my years work.
Could anyone give me some sort of guide in any way of what to write about. It has to be about 3 or 4 pages long. I just dont know what to discuss here at all.
also i have to 'design an experiment on a thesis/hypothesis of my choice'
