Politics: Opinions on McCain's education "platform", as presented on "Meet Depress"?
Today, on "Meet Depress", McCain's "surrogate" said McCain supports the Aristotelean Philosophy of Education by favoring choices and alternatives for parents. Our public school system is based on "the creme will rise to the top" view of Aristotelean thought. Those who go slower get to continue their education based on their efforts and second chances (community colleges....).
Why is Obama's person saying "that (parental choice) will skim the creme off the top", as though that's bad?
What could be driving this ?
Fang: I don't agree that "smart", "poor " people should stay in 2nd rate schools and not be given a chance to excel.
