Pope tells muslims that religion rejects violence?

Isnt it interesting that the pope is revising history?

Its interesting that the pope conviently forgets the crusades and the inquisition and the many other wars that were fought in the name of chrsitianity.....
I am not saying that it isnt time to move on and that catholicism (or a pope) has apologized for ther actions, I just find it interesting that this is coming from someone whos religion has a past that had those commiting acts of violence in the name of God.
 
ok, after the whole condom fiasco, i don't have a great deal of confidence in his intellectual and common sensical prowess. however, it's not too late for the promotion of peace instead of violence where religion is concerned, especially in countries where the catholic church wealds such enourmous influence.
