I just bought a 2011 gmc sierra and the power socket that i plug things like my phone charger into stay on all the time. Even when the truck is off. Does this not run the battery down?
It is suppose to stay on because it is wired directly to the battery not the ignition. It will only run your battery down if you have stuff plugged into it and don't start the truck for about two weeks.
this is normal for a gmc if there is nothing plugged in it is using no power, its about the same as a cigarette lighter. It will not run the battery down.
