Problem in synchronizing cellphone with toshiba bluetooth stack?

Hello!
I have a Toshiba note book. Recently I've installed a fresh windows XP SP2. Now while I'm trying to install the bluetooth driver (Toshiba Bluetooth Stack) and synchronize my Sony Ericsson w960 cellphone with the note book, a message pops up and warned me to "plug in the bluetooth device". I have switched my phone's bluetooth on and plugged it to the notebook via its USB Cable; but still the annoying message pops up. Any idea how to deal with it? Am I missing Something?

I think you need to plug your bluetooth adapter into the laptop (i.e. a bluetooth dongle). If the adapter is built in, then you need to turn it on, and then pair your phone to it. Bluetooth is a wireless connection, so you don't need to plug your phone into the laptop.
