When watching a DVD on my PS3, the audio is behind the video. This does not happen when watching a Blu-ray.
A little bit about my setup: My AV Receiver does not have HDMI connections, so I run an HDMI cable to the LCD TV and a digital optical cable for surround sound to the receiver. I'm sure the fact that I have an LCD with a 240hz refresh rate is the reason for the sync issue.
Now I plan on buying a receiver with HDMI inputs so that I can run one HDMI cable from the PS3 to the receiver and one HDMI cable from there to the TV.
Now if the receiver can do an audio delay to eliminate the lip sync issue, will it know the difference between a DVD and a Blu-ray, not needing to add the delay when watching a Blu-ray?
