Ps3 help, want to get stereo sound on mono tv?

i have the ps3 hooked up to a mono tv temporarily and want to know if i can get stereo sound out of the tv or something, is there a setting on the ps3? any help is greatly appreciated

(it's annoying watching flcl or playing games with only one speaker)
