PS3 refresh rate vs. other blue-ray players?

OK looking for some unbiased advice. Have a 1080p 120hz samsung tv and need a blue-ray player. The PS3's are cheap now but will the quality be as good as a high end blue-ray player? Pretty much can the PS3 utilize the 120hz to its fullest? Also does it have the DVD enhancement to help out on standard DVDs?

Blu-rays look great on a PS3. I also have a Samsung 120HZ 1080P LCD TV and the movies look awesome in either Blu-ray or DVD. And yes, the do upscale DVDs to 1080P. If you really want to show off the muscle of the PS3 Blu-ray as well as your HDTV watch Disney's "Cars". Even if you are not a fan of these movies you will be blown away by the quality of the pure digital transfer.
