PS3 vs 360 - why is the xbox preferred?

everyone attacks the ps3. why? i mean, they're pretty much the same console, with the exception of the ps3 having a blu ray player, and free internet.

what's the deal?

- oh yeah, i own a ps3.
 
Its prefered because Xbox Live has better online features, though you have to pay, I still prefer it.
I have a PS3 Aswell, its not as good, I think its bland, home menu and all, chat functions arent the same, it doesnt have the same online features and extras.

Xbox isn't preferred over PS3. Xbox fanboys tend to be more agressive where as PS3 fanboys tend to be more stupid.

I own all the consoles and play a lot on my PC and I really don't see any major difference except for the controllers. One could argue that the PS3 has better graphics than the 360 but it doesn't. It's CAPABLE of generating the same graphics, but game developers have not tapped into the technology and as a result is no better than the 360 in terms of graphics.


Like I said, anyone who still fights over consoles is mentally retarded. As someone who owns them all, I love all of them and think they are all worth the investment.
 
its not prefered, its just cheaper at first, although in the long run, xbox is more expensive if u have Live.
 
The Xbox is cheaper and has a wider selection of games. And Halo.
 
I chalk it up to a status thing, sure PS3 is better in almost every way possible, but the Xbox is the "cool" console to own.
 
Well ps3 is clearly the best console,xbox has rrod,it has a payment multiplayer,only fps and not much games to choose from,weaker graphics than ps3,everything worse than ps3,ps3 has a free internet,bluray player,simply..everything you need..:)
 
The xbox has more multi player support because you pay monthly
