O.K. how do i get the rest of the hunts? Right now i have hunt 32 plyraster and hunt 27 diabolos to complete. do I need to complete these to to receive the rest of the hunts?
I would complete those two, and visit Montblanc in Rabanastre (sp?) to see if he has any new hunts for you. If he doesn't, you probably need more points. Go and complete side missions and defeat enemies for points. I never ran into a situation where I ran out of hunts, I think the game keeps you supplied after you complete most of the story (excluding the end of the game), so getting past those two should open up some more.
