Questions about traveling to Kuwait?

I'm planning a trip to Kuwait at the beginning of next week. I am an American woman and will be staying with some American friends who work on the military base there. I had read something about having to have a departing ticket in order to be granted a visa. Is this correct because I don't know exactly what date I am planning to leave on just that I will not overstay the 90 days that I am allowed to be there. Also what kind of questions are you asked when arriving? Will they want to know the names of the people I am staying with or just an address?
