Ok so i have a couple questions on planet fitness the gym in Anaheim
Q1. Is there minimum term you have to have if you pay only the 10 dollars?
Q2. If im 16 does my parents have to sign me up or can i do it myself?
Q3. Can i pay by cash myself instead of a credit card?
Q4.For the 10 dollars a month membership what do i get?

I'll try to answer based on my PF here on the East Coast, but of course you should verify with your local PF.

Q1-To my knowledge, there's no contract at all. However, they may charge $30 as a "fulfillment fee" or startup fee. This is probably to make it worth their while if you quit after a month or two.
Q2 - You can't pay cash at my place. Either monthly CC/debit card charge or direct debit from a ckg acct. So your parents will probably have to get involved.
Q4 - PF is about half cardio, treads, Xcountry, bike. Weight wise, its virtually all machines. They have a small "free weight" area, but not well equipped. DBs to 60lb and cybex machines.

This is NOT a lifters or bbers gym. It's good for what it is, and the clients it caters to, which are mostly people trying to stay in shape, but not trying to be Mr Universe. The Plers and BBers (who are idiots) complain about PF a lot, but its not a heavy working gym. If these people were dumb enuf to go in there in the first place, they get what they deserve.

If you decide to join, as with most gyms that you give a CC or debit card to, be careful when you decide to quit that they stop charging you. Gyms are notorious for fraud. In fact, its probably best to have your parents oversee the whole process. And NEVER take longer than a 1yr membership. The shorter the better.
