I have gone through similar experiences and it brought me to completely reforming my idea of what faith is. I suggest examining the reasons you have temporarily lost interest in these things. In my reflection years back during something similar, I realized that the bible isn't as relevant as people suggest, it has many things in it that I simply cannot defend, religion can often bring people down more than the contrary, and that happiness and security can exist outside belief in god or religion. It took years to make this conclusion, but it was in that awkward time that I found a new faith - faith in humanity - and a celebration of humanity, life, mystery, and nature. I recommend taking advantage of this "dry" time by exploring other ideas. Learn about other religions, other countries, other peoples, and about yourself. It may be hard, but there was always that burden of having to defend a whole can of irrationality and hurtfulness. I wish you luck.

There is a difference between believing in God and actually having Him live in your heart. You would seem to be the former. What you need to do is to invite Jesus to come and live in your heart and make you "born-again".

I suggest you try saying this prayer in sincerity and then seeing how you feel.

"Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the wrongs that I have done! I'm sorry, and I want to receive You into my heart through the Love of Your Son, Jesus. Help me to love You and others so that I can be happy and make others happy. Teach me more about You from Your wonderful Book, the Bible. In the name of Jesus, Your Son, amen."

I have sent you a fuller answer by email, so please have a look in your Inbox.

The Bible says..that Faith comes by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God..And How can they hear without a Preacher..

I'm not exactly sure where that is found and my Bible is in the next room. But my point, faith increases when you hear the word of god preached. So I'd say...start going to church again; if the one you were going to isn't meeting your spiritual needs, find a different one...one that preaches from the Bible. So read your bible, surround yourself with faithful, good, positive, holy people.

Hope that helps =)

Mark 9:23-25 (New King James Version)

23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

Jesus rose into the sky and became a god.
Also I ought to point out that the Bible contains a rule that prohibits losing your faith, or even claiming to be losing it. That's about the best advice I can give, that and perhaps fear of hell.
You might try reading Revelation 14:11 a hundred times every night just before going to bed.

"The smoke of their torture ascendeth forever and ever."

Ask yourself do you want your faith back, and why? Take time out on your own - ignore what others have told you or what you have read. Go on gut instinct and what you know to be fact from personal experience. Then ask the question again. I guarantee it will be a different question.
