Running a Red Light - Do Cop Cars take pictures of your license plate?

I ran a late yellow/early red light making a left onto Federal Street of off Erdman Avenue this morning. 30 yards down the street, I hear a police cruiser with his siren going off. I thought I was done for and that he was going to pull me over so I slowed down. Instead he whizzed right past me and surprisingly, shut off his siren. I didn't see whether or not he slowed down, but I'm scared he did slow down and took a picture of my license plate. Will I get a citation in the mail?

if his lights are still flashing than he isn't after you, he just wanted you to get out of the way. but usually they don't take pictures of your license plate. They need to check your license and they usually write everything down. Thy usually check street light cameras for license plates.
