Samsung External DVD Writer Model SE-S084C's "click" sound??

I got a new Samsung External DVD Writer Model SE-S084C but when I try to play a CD (Avril Lavigne:Under My Skin, B'z: Magic, Heros DVD-1, Devil May Cry 4, etc, etc) it stops then an odd click sound comes off the thing and its so frustrating because it NEVER EVER WORKED.
Sorry forgot to mention that the cd "spins" inside the thing first but it stops after around 1 second and then makes the odd click/tick sound.
