okay so a few days ago i left my phone on the counter and i recieved a text and it was on vibrate....i wasn't in the room so i didn't know. anyways it vibrated off the counter and into the toilet it was in there for about 30 seconds or so. i took off the battery and dried the phone and left it to dry for about 3 hours. then i got it and stuck it in rice. its been there for 5 days and i turned it on occasionaly to see if it works. the phone itself works its the keyboard thats all messed up. the keyboard at the top doesn't light up but the keyboard under it does and i just press a button and it goes to something else. also it keeps turning off and it says the battery is charging when its not...so what do i do now? my dad told me to leave it in the rice for a few more days but i just want to know if there is anything else i can do to save my phone. any suggestions? thanks. helpful answer will recieve best answer and the ten points.

Usually a phone dropped into water will stop working. As you have done, drying the phone, is one option. But what you r doing with putting it in rice?
Sure there is still water inside the keyboards.
Since its switiching on, there is still hope. Take it to a mobile technician.
Good luck

bake it in the oven at 100 degrees thats the same temp as a car in houston tx in winter :P it should dry it out and make it ok dont worry about melting
