Samsung series 5 540 and PS3 problem with component cable?

I bought a samsung series 5 540 and a ps3 recently, and I tried to use the component cable (with red, white, and yellow) to plug in to the tv, since I don't have a HDMI cable.. anyways when I turn on my ps3 and change my tv source to av2, it says NO SIGNAL "check connected device's power, cable connection, and source selection." Is there any way to fix this without using hdmi cable?? because I cannot play my game !! please help thank you!
 
hello friend hopefully you already resolve this. but the ps3 make only hdmi or av signal which is red white yellow...so change to those and check! best bet is to get the hdmi cable! good luck
