Should Hollywood force the retirement of Morgan Freeman?

He's just a terrible actor. God knows how he gets all these parts. He was robotic in Shawshank and wooden in just about everything else.

He must be in his 90s now. Its about time Hollywood said no to Morgan. He's too old for this game now and should give younger more talented actors a go.
 
Famous actors are like great teachers, they can do their job, usually just as good as younger people, till they are tired of doing the job or die. George Burns still was in movies till he was into his 90's or was it 100's!
 
I think someone is a little jealous.... he is an amazing actor and every movie he makes I watch it.
 
I will concede your right to your opinion on the acting talents of Morgan Freeman but only if you will concede my right to the exact opposite of it. After all, how else should two gentleman opt to disagree?

Morgan's penchant for picking good scripts and not overacting a part are two of his appeals for me. Granted he is the father/grandfather advisor in each of his efforts, but that is as I wish it. He offers a stable center in which others may play. His body of work speaks for itself in an impressive manner and who knows the depth and breadth of his behind the camera contributions. They must certainly be impressive considering how loyal Hollywood's moguls are to this actor who holds such an appeal to the American public that disagrees with your assessment. He is one of Hollywood's most bankable stars and rightfully so.

Having said all of that I will also relate that another actor whose films I refuse to miss is Sir Anthony Hopkins. Both Hopkins and Morgan will survive our opinions with much more alacrity in having such opinion stated of them than we will in giving them, I'm sure. But isn't it fun that they can even inspire you and I to disagree with their talent?

He's old, he can play old characters. Young actors play young characters.
 
There is a place for older actors in films too ,he can still act so if producers and directors want him they should get him.
