Should I buy a PS3 for the blue ray, or a blue ray player?

Hi, In the future I'm planning on buying a blue ray dvd player but I heard the PS3 also comes with one built in.

Which is cheaper or better for the price? I'm not much of a PS3 gamer so I won't buy much games (I will buy a FEW games for PS3 though).

thanks

Just for information purposes, Blu-ray and DVD are not the same thing, no matter how much they look alike.

If you're going to "buy a FEW games for PS3 though", then you might as well get a PS3.

If you were never going to get PS3 games, then I would say get a cheaper Blu-ray player. If you do plan on possibly buying games, then get a PS3.

Not only that, but the PS3 is the best Blu-ray player on the market. It is the only Blu-ray player to have all available features (even Sony's own stand-alone Blu-ray players don't have all Blu-ray features), and is the first Blu-ray player to get updated when updates are released.

The other thing you will notice, is even if you don't play games, you can still create a free account, and go to the PSN (PlayStation Network) Store and rent or buy movies from it as well. It also has Netflix, Vudu, and Hulu should be available in the near future (Hulu is currently only available to PSN Plus subscribers, which is $50 a year, but is not required to use the PS3 online).

While most people only think of the PS3 as a gaming system, it really is much more, and you may be surprised how many other things it can do.
